Meet Our Owner
Dr. Amar has been practicing as a veterinarian for over seven years in Florida. After graduating in India with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Dr. Amar began his journey in the USA by obtaining a master’s degree at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine (UGA). He then completed his NAVLE (North American Veterinary Licensing Exam) administered by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), allowing him to become a licensed veterinarian in the state of Florida.
Before joining Jax Vets, Dr. Amar worked as a veterinarian at a high-volume charity veterinary hospital in South Florida. He soon became popular as a compassionate and caring veterinarian in the area. Dr. Amar believes that pets are the purest expression of nature and God and serving them is an honor. He moved to Jacksonville so his children could begin their education in the high-quality St John’s school district.
His professional interests are wellness and preventive care, dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency care. Dr. Amar is a member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA).
Dr. Amar likes to spend time with his children, family, and pets when he’s free. He also enjoys gardening, spending time in nature, watching sports, and playing tennis. Dr. Amar is also a big fan of Roger Federer.
